A Decade Later, Milosevic's Ghost Hangs Over Serbia
Strongman Slobodan Milosevic was ousted 10 years ago after having fomented a decade of war. Expectations were high as the country moved toward democracy, a free-market economy and aspirations to EU membership. But disappointment is widespread. Many Milosevic cronies are still in power, the economy is in shambles and a younger generation is as nationalist and isolationist as ever.
